Week 16

April 22, 2026
💡 Spotlight

Template Groups and Dental Charts for Adaptive Templates are here — select multiple templates, record once, and get every note you need at the same time. Navigating between linked notes is seamless, so multi-note appointments stay organized in one place. Dental charting also got a big upgrade: freeform Adaptive Templates now support visual dental charts, and Scribenote will automatically read your notes and map them to the correct teeth and conditions for you.

✨ New Features
  • Template Groups: Need multiple note types from the same appointment? With Template Groups, you can select multiple templates, record once, and get every note you need — generated together, all at the same time.
  • Dental Charts for Freeform Adaptive Templates: Adaptive Templates now support dental charting. Just enable the dental chart toggle on any freeform Adaptive Template, and every note generated from it will include a visual canine or feline dental chart — so you can build dental charting right into your existing custom workflows.
  • Smart Dental Chart Extraction: When you use a template with dental charts, the system will automatically read your notes and update the chart to match, understanding phrases like “tooth 205 was pulled” correctly. If you make changes to your notes, you can click “Update Chart” to sync everything again.
About Scribenote's Weekly Changelog

Scribenauts work really hard to bring you delightful, easy to use software that helps you slay your day as a busy veterinary professional. This is a continuous process that involves everything from building industry changing new innovations to fixing minor bugs. We’ve been doing this since the first line of code for Scribenote was written on December 27, 2019. We’ve historically been pretty bad at sharing the details of all this work, but one of our our resolutions for 2026 is to share our progress with the veterinary community every week. We hope that by seeing the craft that goes into making Scribenote you might feel a little closer to the people who are trying to make something special for you.
