With our latest feature, Template Sharing, Scribenote makes it effortless for veterinarians to share custom veterinary templates with anyone.

What Is Template Sharing?

Template Sharing is a new Scribenote Pro feature that allows you to share Adaptive Templates with anyone via link, email, or team access.

With Template Sharing, you can:

• Share templates publicly, with specific users, with your entire team, or keep them private
• Preview shared templates before trying them
• Customize shared templates to suit your unique needs
• Set Team Template Defaults to maintain clinic-wide documentation consistency

Why We Built Template Sharing

Adaptive Templates are one of Scribenote’s most powerful features for automated veterinary documentation, but creating custom templates can take time and practice. Template Sharing solves that by giving you:

Reduce setup time and eliminate friction by adopting ready-to-use veterinary templates designed by your peers, and tailor them to suit your workflow needs, instantly.

✅ Consistent Notes, Clinic-Wide

Multi-vet clinics can use Template Sharing to set Team Template Defaults to unify how their entire team documents cases. The result? Consistent, high-quality records across the entire clinic, no matter who produces the note, or how busy the day gets.

💬 Easy for New Users, Powerful for Teams

We designed Template Sharing to support everyone: from specialists who want to share their proven workflows, to new users who need an easy starting point. It turns “I don’t know where to start” into “I’ve got exactly what I need”, helping teams onboard faster, and collaborate more effectively.

How to Get Started with Template Sharing

Once you’ve created and saved an Adaptive Template, you can share it with other Scribenote Pro users in just a few steps on our web app or on our mobile app.

On the Web

1. Create a new Adaptive Template, or open an existing Adaptive Template.
2. Click Share Template in the top-right corner of the Adaptive Template page.
3. Choose how you want to share: with your team, by email, or via link.

On Mobile

1. Open the Scribenote mobile app. (Note: Adaptive Template creation is not currently available on our mobile app, so Adaptive Templates must be created on our web app first, before being able to share them on mobile.)
2. Tap your profile image → View Adaptive Templates.‍
3. Tap the share icon next to the template you want to share.
4. Choose to share with your team, by email, or via link.

Sharing & Saving Options

• With your team: Makes a copy of the template available to all users on your team, using Teams Mode.
• By email: Sends a link to view your template via email, allowing the receiver(s) to preview and save a copy of the template to their account(s).‍
• Via link: Generates a public link you can share with anyone, allowing any user with the link to preview the template and save a copy of the template to their account.

Setting Team Template Defaults

With Teams Mode, Team Admins can use our web app to set Team Template Defaults. This ensures consistent records are produced across the entire clinic.

• Open the Adaptive Template you'd like to set as a Template Default, select 'Share Template', then select 'Share with Team'.
• If you're on one team: return to your Adaptive Template, then select 'Set as Team Default'. It will now appear as a Default Template for your entire team!
• If you're on multiple teams: select 'Update Team Default Settings', then select the team(s) you'd like to assign the Template Default to. It will now appear as a Default Template for the teams you've selected!
