Meet Scribenote’s Clinical Team: The Veterinarians and Experts Behind Our AI Veterinary Documentation Software

November 18, 2025

Introducing Scribenote's clinical team.

We believe the most useful tools for veterinary professionals come from the people who truly understand what the job is like day to day. That’s why Scribenote’s team includes practicing veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, a former practice manager, and even a former registered nurse - each bringing real, hands-on clinical experience.

How Scribenote’s Clinical Team Sets Us Apart

Scribenote was built by vets, for vets, but it’s also shaped by the whole care team. Whether you’re a DVM, RVT, practice manager, or support staff, our goal is simply to help you spend less time documenting and more time with the animals who rely on you for their care.

We’re excited for you to meet the clinical team behind Scribenote. They help guide our product, offer their insights, and make sure we’re creating something that truly supports veterinary professionals everyday.

Why Clinical Experience Matters at Scribenote

When we say Scribenote is built alongside veterinary professionals, we mean it literally. Our clinical team has:

  • managed the pace of back-to-back appointments
  • navigated the chaos of emergency cases
  • stayed late finishing records
  • handled client communication on the hardest days
  • balanced patient care with administrative overload

Because key members of our team have lived those challenges themselves, we don’t make assumptions about what veterinary teams need. Instead, we build tools grounded in real clinical experience. Every part of Scribenote, from product design to customer support, is shaped by people who’ve worked in clinics, and understand the value of simplicity, flexibility, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Let’s meet the team making this happen.

Meet The Clinical Experts Behind Scribenote

Dr. Katie Gallagher: Practicing DVM, Co-founder, & Veterinary Lead

With 9 years of experience in general practice, Dr. Katie brings deep clinical expertise and a passion for solving real-world problems. As Co-founder & Veterinary Lead at Scribenote, she’s responsible for guiding clinical product direction and ensuring every feature is rooted in real veterinary workflows. Her ongoing work in practice keeps her closely connected to the evolving needs of DVMs, making her a crucial voice in everything we build.

“The most important part of deciding on new product directions is taking first hand knowledge, and using that to solve problems. None of those problems are easy to solve, but with the right understanding of the issues, they can be tackled appropriately, and ultimately lead to change in the industry” - Katie

Dr. Emily Merry: DVM, Co-founder & Veterinary Content Specialist

Dr. Emily is a newly graduated veterinarian with experience in emergency medicine and exotic animal care. As a Co-founder and driving force on Scribenote’s marketing team, she ensures that our message reaches the vets who need it most. Her clinical background gives her a clear understanding of the challenges facing veterinary professionals today, and she uses that insight to drive the direction of the solutions Scribenote offers.

“Because I’m using Scribenote in appointments every day, I can spot the gaps and opportunities that only practicing vets would notice. Collaborating with our engineers to turn those needs into real features is one of my favorite parts of this work.” - Emily

Allie Aspden: Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS), Founder of the VEG Scribe Program & Clinical Solutions Specialist

Allie is a Registered Health Documentation Specialist and the founder of the Veterinary Emergency Group’s (VEG) Scribe Program. At Scribenote, she applies her deep expertise in clinical documentation and efficiency to help develop Scribenote into a product tailored for workflows that reduce burnout, enhance accuracy, and increase efficiency. She serves as a bridge between Scribenote and our users, helping us build our future together.

“A major challenge for clinical teams is incomplete records. From my experience in specialty and emergency medicine, missing information about previous visits often impedes patient care. Talking with the teams that use Scribenote multiple times a day helps us understand their perspective on how it fits into their workflows and solves their pain points.” - Allie

Meghan Brydges: Registered Vet Technician (RVT) & Former Practice Manager, Clinical Solutions Specialist

Meghan’s experience spans both clinical care and practice management. As an RVT and former practice manager, she has a comprehensive view of what it takes to run a veterinary clinic smoothly. At Scribenote, she ensures our veterinary workflow solutions support not just veterinarians and techs, but also the operations and support teams behind the scenes, making her an invaluable advocate for clinic-wide success and veterinary practice efficiency.

“From my experience of being a practice manager, the empowerment that Scribenote gave my team was hard to even measure. It gave my team more time to help care for our patients and clients, and kept the hospital running smoothly, since we were able to stay on top of documentation, allowing the team to leave on time.” - Meghan

Danielle Gallagher: Former Registered Nurse (RN), Data Librarian

While Danielle’s background is in human healthcare, her experience as a Registered Nurse built her strong foundation in medical documentation, patient care, and most importantly, compassionate communication. In veterinary medicine, client interactions often take place during emotional or difficult moments. Danielle’s perspective helps us ensure Scribenote supports the human side of animal care, especially when it comes to sensitive conversations and compassionate client communication.

“I believe the most integral bridge between the two worlds is the artful use of compassion on a minute, hour, and daily basis in professional practice. The connection between both professions on a deep and complex level is that practicing medicine in all its forms is a human being helping another human being live well and alleviate pain and suffering along the way.” - Danielle

Our Commitment to Clinical Excellence

Scribenote is more than a tech tool, it’s a platform shaped by real clinicians who understand the daily demands of veterinary life. With practicing DVMs, an RHDS, an RVT, a former practice manager, and a former RN on our team, every feature we design is grounded in the realities of clinical practice.

Because many of our team members are still practicing or remain closely tied to the field, we’re able to continuously test, refine, and improve Scribenote based on actual feedback from the floor. This ensures the product is not only functional, but aligned with the emotional and operational needs of the veterinary team.

Our clinical experts advocate for the entire care team: not just vets, but techs, practice managers, and administrative staff. They bring empathy, clarity, and precision to everything we build, so you can trust that Scribenote isn’t just another software platform, it’s a partner that truly understands your world.
