Why? How?

How did we manage such a big price cut while keeping the same quality? Our team has worked hard AF (excuse our language) over the past year to make our tech so efficient that we can now pass on those cost savings to you.  By adopting next-gen AI tech, we’ve stayed just as accurate (we've gotten more accurate, if anything) and easy to use while cutting costs. These smarter tools allow us to offer the same top-tier service at a much lower price.  

The result? Scribenote now offers the most competitive pricing on the market, without losing the quality we’re known for. We’re still dedicated to saving you time, and lowering the burden of having to keep up with clinical documentation.

Why Now?

There's a couple of reasons why our price was perceivably so high to begin with. We were the first of our kind to enter the market. It was hard to pin down the right price for our customers as there was really no reference point for something like Scribenote. And for something that saves vets hours per day, we justified to ourselves and to our customers that the cost would be recouped in getting back more than 10 hours of vet time per week.

We launched the fully-automated version of Scribenote back in May 2023 (notice how I said fully-automated version–we've got a lot of history, but that's a story for another time 😉) and used the most cutting-edge AI tech at the time. Well, cutting-edge AI tech was quite expensive to run. To add to this, our small technical team of literally 3 people were no experts in building a scalable AI infrastructure. Plus, we were running almost exclusively on cashflow until July of 2024. Of course, this changed substantially when we raised an $8.2M fundraising round from Andreessen Horowitz.

All this to say, there were many reasons why we kept the price at $249. But now, having learned a lot along the way, and 20+ team members strong, we're able to use the best tech available in much much more efficient ways.
